When entering the License Key and Access Code, remember that they are both case sensitive.Р”Р„ base license is required to run AXIS Camera Station and allows for a specified number of cameras to be used with the program. The License Key is your proof of purchase, keep it in a safe place for future reference.

Do not request the access code to activate the software until AXIS Camera Station is installed on the target computer. Once registered, it cannot be used again. The License Key can be used for only one current installation. Activate the software with your License Key The first time you start the program you will be asked to register your license. If your network or router features a DHCP server, it means the router will self-assign a valid IP address to the device. Make sure to use a unique IP address, thus avoiding any IP conflicts. The IP address of the camera or device needs to be modified in order to match your network.

The camera is activated during the first run and it requires you to create a default password. The default IP address for Axis cameras and other Axis security devices is 192.168.0.90 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0. If the password for root is lost, the Axis camera must be reset to the factory default settings (using the reset button). The default administrator user name root is permanent and cannot be deleted.

However, you may try two Axis default passwords that were used on their previous product line. In other words, the new Axis cameras donРІР‚в„ўt have a default password, you need to create one. This is done in the Configure Root Password dialog, which opens when the product is accessed for the first time. To access the Axis IP camera (or other devices), you must set the password for the default administrator user root.
